We’ve been pretty quiet recently because we’ve been putting most of our spare energy into A Ruined Oak, which is nearly finished. More on that later; right now we are doing some shows again and boy has that been. . . not easy! Rock and roll is COMPLICATED. But it’s a lot more fun than woodshedding the same material for six months I tell you what.
Waayyyy back in November we had a couple of shows that I forgot to post about so let’s cover those first.
November 6, 2015- Revolutions Cafe (Bryan, TX) with the Ex-Optimists, Birthday Club and Electric Astronaut
We hadn’t been to the Bryan/College Station Metropolitan Area in quite a while and the Xops cats were nice enough to host us on a Friday that threatened chill and rain.
(Well, not as convincingly as I remember maybe).
I’m gonna keep the commentary to a minimum since this was almost 5 months ago but here are some photos:
EA’s bass player reminded me unaccountably of a young Mike Watt.
Well I guess the beard and the bass account for it actually.
File under “how the fuck did we miss this:”
Holy shit, Hell Knife AND Deth Truck? On one bill?!?
Birthday Club just did a bunch of stuff and they have a record coming out soon. So does Electric Astronaut.
Super big thanks to Kelly for putting this show on, and Michael and Katie for letting us crash at their Jazzmaster storage facility/ lovely home. And sorry everyone it took so long to post this!
I AM ZOOT har har
